KHANGA SUMMER CLOTHES FOR WOMEN 2021 https://miamaracreations.afrikrea.com/en As many of you may agree 2020 was a difficult year for many people in various ways. Not only the Covid -19 pandemic but livelihoods were affected. My business was also affected, but for me it was way before the Coronavirus. I have been wanting to move my fashion brand into a more sustainable brand and 2020 gave me the opportunity to do that. I know I had to pivot my brand in some way knowing that fashion industry as we know it was going to change. And in many ways it did with big fashion retailers closing shop and online sales grew. I came up with a collection from the Khanga cloth that is from the East African coast. It is a light cotton print fabric with Swahili proverbs written on it. The print is bright and vibrant and produced in a sustainable way with strictly small runs of fabric produced so there is no excess.
